The MSU-IIT Endowment Fund is designed and established to provide a perpetual and stable source of funds for the support of professorships, scholarships, research and extension, innovative programs, and learning opportunities toward the realization of the Institute’s vision, mission and objectives.

Hence, your support is needed for the following programs:

• Scholarships

• Professorial Chairs

• Research and Extension

• Technology Transfer, Dissemination, and Commercialization

• Property Acquisition

• Infrastructure and Facilities

• Academic and Semi-academic Student Projects and Activities

• Other related and relevant endeavors

Furthermore, there is a common misconception that endowments can be accessed anytime and used for anything at any given time as long as funds are available. We have to emphasize that Endowment gifts are intended by their donors to benefit both current and future generations of students and scholars. As a result, MSU-IIT through its Endowment Fund Council is obligated to preserve the purchasing power of these gifts by spending only the interests coming from those donations. In other words, MSU-IIT’s flexibility in spending from the endowment is limited by the fact that it must be maintained in perpetuity and that it is largely restricted.
